The origin of Schellen & Flack
Steel tubes are everywhere: from ballpoint pens to sports cars to construction equipment. For these reasons, our founders Matthias Schellen and Ulrich Flack dedicated themselves early on to the industry that they now play a major role in shaping. Right from the start, they recognized the challenge of this industry: flexibility, advice and service were often overshadowed by the actual product, which is why the two went into business for themselves with precisely the kind of advice that their customers at the time wanted.
Service with passion
Schellen and Flack initially acted primarily as a conceptual service provider. As an intermediary between customer and manufacturer. As a contact for all the issues they had previously had to deal with themselves. The first machines quickly followed in order to be able to process smaller orders more efficiently for their customers than their partners could. The small garage became the first hall, and the pure service business became today’s Schellen und Flack. What remained from this time is the strongly developed service concept, anchored in the deepest company structures, which the customers of Schellen und Flack have always appreciated and which is still omnipresent in our culture today.
